Esize announces Esize8; the new standard in user experience
Esize, supplier of Cloud Spend Management solutions, has announced the launch of a completely redesigned suite of Source to Pay applications known as Esize8. Its introduction is scheduled for mid-2016. In this latest version, Esize is introducing not only diverse innovative functions but also a fully new and unique user experience. The new features include a personal, easily tailored start page and a comprehensively upgraded search framework in order to find the right information throughout the platform, quicker and easier. As part of its mobile strategy, Esize is also introducing a number of apps (for iOS and Android) which facilitate insight into critical working data using dashboards, on smartphones and tablets. Specific tasks, such as approval of orders and invoices, can now also be carried out via the apps. All these innovations are offered in a completely new and intuitive design, which distinguishes the platform as the most user-friendly solution on the market.
The new release is the first milestone in an ambitious roadmap planned by Esize for the period until 2017. One of the steps scheduled by the software supplier is the switch to a new Open Source Java technology in order to implement functional developments even more quickly, efficiently and effectively on the platform in the future. The principle behind the product development is to continually optimise the user experience and accessibility of the platform. Esize has undertaken the complete development process in close collaboration with an independent client user group. “The market for Supplier Relationship Management software is very active, and brands which do no innovate will not survive”, explains Tim Schaefers, Managing Director of Esize. “Esize is all about innovation. That is where our focus lies. What makes our proposition truly unique, is that we are one of the few market players to integrate a complete package of software modules on a single cloud platform which supports the full palette of purchasing and invoice administration processes.
Intuitive user experience
Following the recent launch of the successful e-sourcing platform, this latest Esize release offers users countless innovative functions in a modern look & feel, thus contributing to a personalised, intuitive user experience. All users of Esize8 can create their own individual start page, which is simple to personalise and design. Each employee can therefore put together an organised dashboard of individual tasks and activities to be carried out, but can also add widgets, favourite website links or RSS feeds, for example. Smart in-memory search technology helps users search for and find the right information more quickly and easily, within the entire platform but also outside the platform. Esize is introducing a number of apps for smartphones and tablets (for iOS and Android) in order to improve accessibility for mobile devices. Customers will not be the only group to profit from the innovations in Esize8. Many thousands of suppliers undertake business transactions with the buyer organisations who are active on the platform. Esize will also provide them with a renewed version of the Esize Supplier Network (ESN).
The purpose of Esize8 is not only to market a platform which excels in terms of the optimum user experience. Esize is also working at continuous expansion in a functional sense. Tim Schaefers explains this: “What we’re noticing is that our clients increasingly recognise Esize to be a comprehensive and cost-efficient alternative with which an existing, complex ERP package can be fully downsized or even completely replaced. We shall continue to offer extra functions within the financial and logistics domain, without feeling the need to develop an ERP application. We not only want to offer our customers a business case in terms of processing and purchasing costs, but also to facilitate further rationalisation of their IT costs”.
Transparency and control
“We’re seeing a market trend in which the procurement function is constantly gaining strategic importance in organisations. Our customers have growing expectations when it comes to transparency and control of processes and expenditure, and are looking for effective support for more advanced expenditure analysis. That requires a solution which supports all processes integrally in a single system”, says Tim Schaefers. “There is also greater market interest in software solutions which help organisations gain better insight into and control of their expenditure. Over the past year, demand has increased for our Cloud Spend Management solutions, among multinationals but also medium-large companies at home and abroad.
The official Esize8 launch is scheduled for mid-2016. Tim Schaefers finds the initial market reactions to the new release to be very positive. “We would of course be very willing to provide a preview for anyone who is interested, and we would like to invite them to contact us”.
